Easter Sunday – 16th April 2017 at 10.30am & 6.30pm
Two days, Good Friday and Easter Sunday – what do they tell us? Is what happened more than 2000 years ago important today? The answer is a resounding YES because these two days, more than any others, reveal to us, as with every generation that ever lived, God’s eternal plan of Salvation.
Good Friday – Christ’s Death. Do you know why it is called ‘Good Friday’? Often when people realize that it commemorates the day that Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross they are amazed or confused that anything so bad can be referred to as good. WHY?
Easter Sunday – His Resurrection. God’s only begotten Son, the LORD Jesus, having been crucified on the Friday and having lain in the grave now rose up from the dead. WHY?
God’s eternal plan of Salvation was fulfilled and revealed to mankind on these two momentous days. God has a plan for all that He has created. Like God, it is unchangeable and we especially, the men, women and children that are made in His image, are not only included in that plan but are the very objects of it.
Do you know God’s plan of Salvation?
We invite you to come and see by coming to hear the word of the LORD at our Easter Services.
